besidesmilk cows, meat cattle, pigs, sheep, chooks, ducks, gooses and rabbits, thereare various wild animals living in laixi. there are aves belonging to 15orders, 40 families and 136 species, accounting for 45.9 percent of the totalbird species ofqingdaomunicipality. species ofwild animals reach 18 and species of terrestrial animal and amphibian reptileamount to 22. there are forest insects belonging to 14 orders, 102 families and298 species. and there are flora of 58 families and over 250 species. thenumber of state-class old trees reaches 403. flowers and trees for landscapingamount to 113 species. herbaceous flower and woody flower come to 101 species.wild plant such as chinese jujube can also be found here. woody medicinal planttotals 26 species and herbaceous herb amounts to 63 species.
